Chinen BlancChenin Blanc, rich in acidity, is a. chameleon allowing for producing dry, sweet wine, and even sparkling wine. Tonight, we will taste various styles and expressions of chenin blanc from Loire, France, which represents the most classic form for this varietal. This will be compared to another famous place for chenin: South Africa. Please join.
Tasting Wines include : - Vieux Clos 2020 de N.Joly (richer, more oxydative) - Insolite 2019 de Thierry Germain (old vines, unusual soil) - Clos du moulin 2017 de Thierry Germain (old vines) - Savennieres Bellevue 2019 de Baudouin (classic style) - Vouvray Clos du Bourg Sec 2021 There will be 1 outsider from South Africa. There will be many red dinner wines too. |
