THE TOKYO WINE SOCIETY TASTING ***
Noir originated in Burgundy but is widely planted throughout the
World, from Germany and Alsace, to California and New Zealand,
with the 2004 film sideways that made Pinot Noir fashionable.
Pinot Noir is the most important Pinot variety and at the
same time of the one of the most difficult grapes to grow. It has
high quality potential but requires much skill in both the
viticulture and vinification process to produce a good vintage.
Pinot noir is able to express terroir well and ripens well in
cool conditions which allows the vine to mature slowly, producing
berries with a good balance of flavours and acidity. We will
taste these Pinot Noir to see which region we prefer the most,
with an oddball from the Cellar Master.
We will have good
dinner wine too. Please join.
