THE TOKYO WINE SOCIETY TASTING ***
Phylloxera hit France 150 years ago, some winemakers from
Bordeaux moved to Rioja for survival, to tie-up with local
vineyards such as Marquez de Murrieta, to create Spanish wine
similar to Bordeaux. Rioja has been making excellent wines

wine focused more on vineyards with newer way to select/grow
grapes, trying to go beyond just "Rioja". And now, new
categorizations which is more geographically precise, has
introduced to Rioja, started from the 2017 vintage.
